We’re delighted to host the launch of this acclaimed film festival, now in its eleventh year, which will feature 40 films linked to the United Nations’ Three Pillars of Freedom. This inaugural programme will start with When Elephants Fight – a film on how the fight for minerals in the Congo has brought poverty and corruption yet corporations have made billions. Following this, Dr Susan Williams will explain why the resource rich Congo was one of the bestkept secrets of World War II. The Besieged Bread short about bread smuggling bread in Syria will complete the screening. Live music during the evening will be provided by the talented acoustic guitarist, Matt Henry.
