THE ATHENIANS - ART EXHIBITION OPENING
For this body of work Dover made her own watercolour paints using mica.
The word mica is derived from the Latin word mica, meaning a crumb, and perhaps influenced by micare, to glitter, and in some ways, this describes the objects that interest Dover the most; tiny fragments that effervesce with life.
Annabel Dover has shown her work nationally and internationally. She is a Critical and Historical Studies Lecturer at the Royal College of Art and has work in the collections of University of the Arts, London and Imperial War Museum.
Please join us for the opening reception of ‘The Athenians’ from 6 – 9pm on Friday 4th August.
